My Favorite two beauty combos

Two weeks ago, I went to my favorite place in the whole entire world: Sephora. I picked up NARS BODY GLOW (the one with the bronze shimmer particles). I love it!! It gives my skin this satiny smooth feel and the smell is perfect for the spring weather. This is great for all those girls who are a little pale or just want a little extra bronze shimmer on the skin for the summer. Spring and Summer is not the time to walk around with pale legs. To get the most out of the smell, I sprayed Michael Kors on top. Genius!!

I've been hearing nothing but amazing things about the NARs body glow. I'm going to have to give it a try.

hi!

i stumbled across your site when googling 'african american makeup inspirations'.....

i'm loving your site. you have such practical advice...and i am wondering if there is a post of yours that you can suggest i check out.....

i'm getting married and looking into makeup looks. i usually wear color. not ashamed to sport blues, violets, greens, ect. on my eyes. vibrant hues on my lips. but i believe i want something a bit more.....classic(?) for the wedding day. I've been looking into neutrals, but find the "natural" face just too boring and not really me.

Do you have a post on special occasion makeup?

oops...i realize that a few more details may help you:

Early Fall church wedding. Start time 11am. my dress is ivory and silver. Lots of rhinestones and crystals on my bodice. I plan to wear my hair uup, loose romantic style.

I am looking into makeup so early bc i plan to do my makeup myself and want to get lots of practice putting on my best face. I want the day of to be so 2nd nature that i think nothing of it.

I hope to wear falsies on the day of as well.

i've also been hearing wonderful things about MAC in so many places and am considering checking them out. Is there a formulation you'd best recommend for normal to oily skin? I typically wear Bare Minerals as my everyday foundation.

whew....hope that wasn't too much unneeded info.....
